Trail Maintenance
Rogers Road Trail
Topanga State Park
Saturday January 30, 2010
This was a joint project with CORBA and the Sierra Club Task Force
We had over 22 volunteers joining forces today from three different groups. We had members from the public, CORBA (Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists Association), SMMTC (Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council), and the Sierra Club's Santa Monica Mountains Task Force trail crew together again to work on the Rogers Road connector trail in Topanga State Park. It was a perfect day, weather-wise, the ground was nice and soft from the recent rains, and a good time was had by all. We completed the entire approximately 1/2 mile-plus section by lopping and sawing brush and branches, grooming the tread, and installing water diversions. CORBA proceeded further down the trail to the Lone Oak area and did a wonderful job there. Great work everyone!
