Bring work gloves and a pack with lunch, water (at least 2 qts.) and snacks. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver at the trailhead in order to work with us.
August 22, 2026 Saturday
CSUCI Campus
Meadow Trail
Jerry Mitcham 818-406-1269
Saturday, August 22, 2026 — 7:00AM to 1:00PM. Pack a lunch and bring a couple liters of water. Please contact leader before attending and consider arriving a few minutes early to sign the necessary forms. This is a special event to clear the "Meadow Trail" in CI Park to support the September 5, scheduled cross country race event hosted by Oxnard High School. We did a similar event last year. After the winter rains, the trail is very, very overgrown. Anticipating hot weather, we will start and quit early. Although it's likely to be hot, I recommend gaiters, long pants, long sleeves and wide brimmed hat. Bring plenty of water. Directions: CI Park is a somewhat remote part of the CSUCI campus. It is located off of Camarillo St, near Lewis Road. Park in the parking lot just outside the yellow gate. GPS coords: N34 10.598 W119 2.055. Parking passes will be provided. Leader: Jerry Mitcham (818-406-1269)
