Ruth Gerson   -   SMMTC, President SMMTC Board of Directors, Diner volunteer (May 7). President SMMTC Board of Directors 10 years, dinner volunteer, host for Calamigos Ranch camping site. Hobbies: horseback riding & packing, camping, fishing, trail work, cooking.

Burt Elliott   -   SMMTC, Hike leader/Sweep. Retired as an Engineering Division Head on the Navy test range at Point Mugu. Participated in all six BBTreks so far. Co-coordinator for the Ventura County Coastwalk for eleven years. Hike leader/sweep for NPS Backbone Trail series. Very active in the SMMTC trail maintenance program. Volunteer for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Conejo Open Space, surrounding Thousand Oaks, on a variety of trail issues. Hobbies: trail running, mountain biking, camping and geocaching.

Jerry Mitcham   -   SMMTC, BBTrek 2008 Coordinator, Hike leader. Hike sweep. Retired Chief Petty Officer from U.S. Navy, retired Systems Engineer from Northrup Grumman. Member of SMMTC Board of Directors. Very active in the SMMTC trail maintenance program. Completed the 2006 Backbone Trail Trek as a paid participant. Three years as hiker leader/sweep for the NPS Backbone Trail series. Hobbies: Hiking, backpacking, camping and geocaching.

Diana Savage   -   CW, On site coordinator, Hike leader, Hike sweep. Five time BB Trek participant, hiked the 1200 mile California Coastal Trail in 2003, substitute teacher. Hobbies: walking and travelling. She dreams of being a geocacher.

Mel Savage   -   CW, Wrangler. Five time support staff for the BB Trek, retired LA County Deputy Sheriff, drove the support van for the 2003 California Coastal Hike. Hobby: traveling.

Dave Edwards   -   SMMTC, Van driver. Retired as civilian from federal government, very active in the SMMTC trail maintenance program. Volunteer for The Nature Conservancy on Santa Cruz Island. Completed the 2003 and 2006 Backbone Trail Trek as a paid participant. Have led my own hiking group for past 10 years. Hobbies: golf, hiking, backpacking, RVing, running, gardening.

Barry Dydyk   -   SMMTC, Food coordinator, Van driver. Retired Systems Engineer from Northrup Grumman. Active in the SMMTC trail maintenance program. Two years as hiker leader/sweep for the NPS Backbone Trail series. Active with the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scoutmaster. Hobbies: Hiking, backpacking, camping and geocaching.
